HARVEST

After a year of work, it is finally time for the harvest.  It's the crucial and exciting time of the year. They generally take place between the end of August and the beginning of October, depending on the maturity of the grapes. The precise dates may vary from one year to the next depending on climatic conditions and the progress of the ripening of the grapes. For Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the maximum authorized legal yield is 35hl/ha.

Traditionally, the harvest is carried out by hand, this custom embodies respect for the terroir, the know-how of the winegrowers and the search for the highest quality.

Our harvesters, most of whom return from one year to the next, walk through the vines and pick the bunches of ripe grapes. Directly sorted in the vines, this method allows the grapes to be carefully selected, to avoid damaging the bunches and to obtain the best vintage.
